Coaching Change

Well as some of you already know the Grizzlies front office decided to fire Coach I before our game against the Knicks. It pretty much surprised everyone on the team especially being on a road trip. I must say one thing though, theirs nothing like playing in Madison Square Garden those fans really know basketball and the players. It's one of the few places visiting teams players actually get cheers at least before the game actually starts. I played well and continued it against the Nets, I still need to do more because we're not winning.

  memphis front office will never let you win. Firing the coach is certainly not the ansewer. I wish someone could fire your owner and GM. Good luck though.

  I agree that you've played alright against the Knicks and Nets. Go back and watch the tape of the Nets game man. One thing I noticed was that Devin Harris was driving into the lane ALOT! He set his guys up by driving and kicking it. You need to use that speed of yours and do the same thing. Keep playing strong and drive that ball to the basket.

    Right now we don't really have any catch and shoot players, I'm the best 3 point shooter on the team this year.

    I didn't know anything most of the players were in the hotel resting before the knicks game. It happend that night so we knew he would be gone before shoot around

  Although it might be difficult to accept right now "starting minutes" might not be in your best interest. My thoughts have nothing to do with the playing time situation between Kyle and yourself. Too many minutes early in your career could hurt your development, taking your game to the next level would be easier to accomplish if you played 35 minutes a night. That does not mean that you could not do playing less. Sometimes it take players going through difficulties before they blossom. The question that I ask you is would you rather have a career like Muggsy Bouges or Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf?

  Mike I'm proud to see how you're holding together through all of the criticism. I hope and pray that you maintain focus and that you go out and quite the tongues of the naysayers. I have a feeling that Coach Hollins will be a great teacher for you and Kyle to emerge as the best back court in the NBA. So be encouraged, you come from good stock and you'll become a great player.

  I'm glad to see Bibby vouch for Hollins, hopefully, you'll be able to show your game with the new freedom allotted to you. I need ya'll to step it up! Right now I'm losing a bet to my guy about who will have a better record this year, the Knicks or Grizz.

  Mike- Just hang in there, i see your number coming up, slowly.. next couple years, you will be up there getting around the 20 ppg, just takes time to adjust.. So wat kinda sports u watch? ready for some baseball, go yankees

  You seem to have turned a corner lately and really grooving! I saw where you and Ming both had 9 RBs.Someone must have been blocking him out! Also tickled that your 3 pt shot is twitching the twine.
  Have been following your efforts since LN/Marion Giants games.

  Good Luck Mike -- I'll be at the game tonight.
  I hate losing Kyle but I hope the first round pick in return pays off. I think the team is headed in the right direction and are putting the pieces in place.
