NBA Draft Party

I went to the Grizzlies NBA draft party last night at the forum and had a great time signing autographs on the floor. I then watched maybe the first 15 picks of the draft and went out with my cousins to get something to eat and watched the rest of the 1st round. Before I flew down to Memphis for the draft party we had some pretty good open gyms at Ohio State, Sconnie Penn was back along with some more OSU players. Evan how'd you like that dunk? heh. Also congrads to Coach Groce getting the OU job..

      Fans will rally around us when we start winning games. I had everyone coming up to me after last years draft saying with the talent Memphis now had we could make some noise in the west, we won 22 games. Now I'm hearing almost the exact same thing this year, I hope it turns out differently than last year. You don't want to get in the habit of winning the off seasons heh..

Jason Collins is the worst center in the league. He airballs more freethrows in a game than he gets fouls per game and he averages 4 fouls a game. Good move their for Memphis and Marko Jaric is only worth mentioning b/c his girl Adriana Lima is beautiful. I wonder waht Markos pickup lines were? Antonie walker Bobblehead on the Grizzlies haha...

Mike, first congrats on a good year... im lookin forward to seeing you around at OSU over the summer... also, what are your thoughts on the teams draft. I loved that the Griz got Mayo and Arthur to add to the core... u guys got some good young talent to build around and im sure this season will be much more enjoyable for you guys!!!

    yeah you'll probably have your growing pains again this season, especially with such a young and inexperienced team in a tough western conference.... but you have some nice pieces to build around for the future.... im excited to watch you, Mayo, and Rudy Gay all on the floor together.... it should be exciting

I would have paid to see a party that consisted of all the Grizzlies and watched their reactions as each of them were traded throughout the draft. It must be somewhat of a relief that you weren't traded despite all the rumors. OJ Mayo, Warrick, and MCJ is a nice nucleus to build around.

Conley, Mayo, Gay and Warrick, that's a pretty good group you got there. All of a sudden, Darko starts getting double doubles next year and you guys would be dangerous. You guys are the next gen.

Honestly, who would you rather have played with, OJ or Love? Either way though, I think you guys will be a pretty solid team next year, and you can only get better..
