The rumours continue to swirl suggesting that Antonio Conte could become AC Milan’s next head coach, and the construction of the team under him has been hypothesised.

Earlier in the week, Luca Momblano did a segment live on Telelombardia in which he claimed that Conte has reached a verbal agreement to take over at Milan, and since then the rumours have gone into overdrive again.

Now, the same station have hypothesised how Conte might try to put his stamp on the Milan squad, starting with a budget of €180m.

That would be financed through the €50m that Champions League qualification brings, but also the potential sales of Rafael Leao and Fikayo Tomori, who would bring in around €90m and €40m respectively.

In defence, the Italian coach would ask for a more physical and aerially dominant centre-back so the club would spend €40m to sign Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino.

In the wing-back position, he would go for Giovanni Di Lorenzo of Napoli who is said to be among the players he asked for in talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and he would cost €30m.

Rodrigo de Paul of Atlético Madrid is another player Conte would like, a former target for the Rossoneri, and he would cost about €40m.

The front two would be all new, and neither Joshua Zirkee and Benjamin Šeško are included. Instead, Ademola Lookman (Atalanta, €40m) and Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea, €30m) would arrive.

Conte’s Milan (3-5-2): Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Buongiorno; Di Lorenzo, De Paul, Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders, Theo Hernández; Lookman, Lukaku.
